Dr Lynn Gilmore has been promoted to director of communications and engagement at Seafish.

In her new role from 1 November, Dr Lynn Gilmore will be responsible for the organisation’s communication and stakeholder engagement strategy, which includes the Love Seafood consumer brand. She will also join the Seafish executive team and play a role in the organisation’s current strategic review.

She has been with Seafish since 2009, initially as Seafish Northern Ireland manager and then as head of international trade and the regions (west).

In her new role, she replaces Hazel Curtis, who left Seafish in August after 21 years with the organisation.

Seafish CEO Marcus Coleman said: “Lynn has worked tirelessly in Northern Ireland and across the rest of the UK during her time in our regional team. She is hugely respected by those she has worked with in the seafood industry. We have no doubt she will have a positive impact on our communication and stakeholder engagement ambitions.

“The seafood industry is complex, and to have her knowledge and experience on our executive team is invaluable.

“I’d also like to thank Hazel for her commitment, professionalism and passion during her time at Seafish, and wish her the very best for the future.”
