Whitby Fishing Boats’ by Michael Salt.

Following an opening reception from 6pm to 8pm on 20 September, a range of workshops and events will be held in the venue. Fishing always features very strongly in the exhibition, and an annual feature is a prize for the best representation of commercial fishing.

Ian Murray of Murray Accounting Services, a long-time sponsor of the competition, winners of which have featured in previous years in Fishing News, told FN: “Murray Accountancy Services Ltd is delighted to again sponsor the commercial fishing prize for the RSMA 2022 exhibition. As in previous years, there appears to be great interest in the exhibition by many artists, and choosing a winner will be very difficult.”

The RSMA exhibition is available to view online here, with high-resolution images of many of the quality artworks on display.
