A new ‘one-stop-shop’ website has been launched that features bespoke information and support for the fishing community on personal savings, money management, credit choices, debt advice and mental health support.
The website, called ‘The Safety Net’, has been created by The Seafarers’ Charity and offers free, independent advice and support on a whole range of personal finance issues.
It also offers mental health and relationship support ‘for when you need someone to talk to’, as well as quick links to other sources of information. The website also includes useful videos, and there are downloadable posters promoting the service to fishermen.
The Safety Net website can be found here. You can also find out more on: 0800 160 1842.
