APPLICATION TO VARY THE SECTION 36 CONSENT FOR BURBO BANK OFFSHORE WIND FARM

TAKE NOTICE that Orsted Burbo (UK) Limited (company number 04129545) of 5 Howick Place London SW1P 1WG (“the Applicant”) has made an application pursuant to the Electricity Generating Stations (Variation of Consents) (England and Wales) Regulations 2013 (“the 2013 Regulations”) to vary a consent granted on 9th July 2003 as amended on 17th October 2005 under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 for the Burbo Bank Offshore Wind Farm, to amend wording in relation to the consented design parameters. The Applicant received notice from the Secretary of State for the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero under Regulation 4(6) of the 2013 Regulations on 23rd August 2023 that the application to vary the consent is suitable for publication.

The Applicant has published a summary of the variation application, the variation application, the Section 36 consent proposed to be varied and supporting environmental information provided to the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero on the website https://orsted.co.uk/energy-solutions/ offshore-wind/our-windfarms/burbo-bank-section-36C-application-july-2023 .

Printed copies of the summary of the variation application, the variation application, the Section 36 consent proposed to be varied and supporting environmental information may be obtained on request from DONGENERGY_ BBW01_EC@ORSTED.COM at a cost of £50.

Any person wishing to make objections to, or other representations about, the proposed variation should send these to the Secretary of State for the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero by email energyinfrastructureplanning@energysecurity.gov.uk or to the postal address shown below no later than 11.59pm on 13th October 2023.
