SALMON AND FRESHWATER FISHERIES ACT 1975

Salmon and migratory trout net fishing licence duties.

Pursuant to section 25 of and Schedule 2 to the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries Act 1975, as amended, the Environment Agency gives notice of its intention to fix salmon and migratory trout net fishing licence duties for the period, 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2020.

The new duties will have effect in the relevant area as set out in the table below and reflect the Salmon and Sea Trout Protection Byelaws 2018 that have been confirmed by Government.

Any person who wishes to object to the proposed duties must send a statement of their objection in writing to The Fisheries Officer, Freshwater Fisheries, Shellfish and Aquaculture. Domestic Fisheries and Reform. Seacole Building, 2 Marsham Street, London, SW1P 4DF or Freshwater.fish@defra.gsi.gov.uk  to be received no later than 6th February 2019 and must send a copy of the statement of objection to The Fisheries Officer (Net Duties), Horizon House, Deanery Rd, Bristol BS1 5AH.
