MMO BYELAW PROHIBITING BOTTOM TOWED FISHING IN THE WEST OF

WALNEY MARINE CONSERVATION ZONE

This byelaw was made under the common seal of the Marine Management Organisation on 4 September 2018, confirmed by the Secretary of State on 4 June 2019, and will come in to force on 4 July 2019.

The purpose of this byelaw is to protect habitats and communities in the specified area, as stated in the byelaw, from the impacts from bottom towed fishing.
