SALMON AND FRESHWATER FISHERIES ACT 1975

Environment Agency (River Fowey) (Limitation of Fowey Estuary Draft Net Fishing Licences) Order 2018.

Notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to confirm an Order made by the Environment Agency under Section 26 of the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries Act 1975.

The Order will provide that the number of licences to be issued in any year for fishing for salmon and trout with draft nets in the River Fowey upstream of an imaginary line drawn straight from the seaward extremity of St. Catherine’s Point (SX211875 50880) to the seaward extremity of Punch Cross (SX 212163 50795) and downstream of a straight line drawn across the River Fowey at the confluence of the Milltown Stream (SX 210794 50795) shall be limited to Zero (0) or such number as is equal to the number of applicants who during the preceding two years held a fishing licence to fish for salmon and trout in the River Fowey estuary.

A copy of the sealed Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the undersigned.
