THE MARINE AND COASTAL ACCESS ACT 2009 AND THE MARINE WORKS (ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT) REGULATIONS 2007 (as amended)

APPLICATION FOR: NORTH BRISTOL DEEP (AREA 531) AGGREGATE EXTRACTION

Notice is hereby given that Tarmac Marine and Hanson Aggregates Marine Ltd have applied to the Marine Management Organisation (MMO) and Natural Resources Wales (NRW) to undertake a regulated activity under Part 4 of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009.

The application is to extract aggregate from a cross-border area in the Severn Estuary and therefore, requires two marine licences – one from the MMO and one from NRW. MMO are leading on the consultation exercise on behalf of both organisations.

A copy of the application and environmental statement, or as the case may be, supplementary information is available for inspection during normal office hours for free at (Bristol Central Library, College Green, Bristol, BS15TL) for a period of 42 days from the date of the first notice (17/01/2020)

Copies of the environmental statement may also be inspected free of charge and by prior appointment at the offices of the Marine Management Organisation, Newcastle upon Tyne or at the NRW Offices at 29 Newport Road, Tŷ Cambria, Cardiff, CF24 0TP.

Copies of the environmental statement or environmental statement supplementary information may be viewed on line in the Public Register at www.gov.uk/check-marine-licence-register

  • Be received within 42 days of the date of the first notice (17/01/2020);
  • Quote the case reference; and

The Marine Management Organisation will pass to the applicant a copy of any objection or representation we receive.

Diben y cais yw carthu agregau o ardal drawsffiniol yn Aber Hafren, felly bydd angen dwy drwydded forol – un gan yr MMO ac un gan Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru. Mae’r MMO yn arwain yr ymarfer ymgynghori ar ran y ddau sefydliad.
