Looking for a Christmas present? After the success of the limited-edition hardback version of Folkestone’s Fishing Industry Past and Present, the book is also available in paperback with two extra pictures.
Written by Frank Bond, John Gale and Alan Taylor, it contains 219 images in its 145 pages. The paperback version contains two extra images on the front flyleaf of early engravings of Folkestone harbour – one of which was made on stone by a C Tanner in 1850.
Co-author Alan Taylor said: “The number of favourable comments we have had about the book has exceeded all expectations, with many people saying it brought back memories of their childhood when they visited Folkestone.”
