The new 12m catamaran Isobella M BM 220 started potting from Bridlington last week, reports David Linkie
Owned by Karl and Jenny Price and named after their eight-year-old twins, Blake Michael and Brooke Isobella, the new shellfish boat Isobella M is based on a Gemini displacement catamaran hull, moulded and fully fitted-out by Anderson Marine of Peterhead.
Following the delivery trip south to Bridlington, JD Marine fitted the stainless steel rail roller, gunwale cappings and safety rails, which incorporate spray bars.
Powered by twin Doosan LT 136 engines coupled to Dong-I gearboxes, Isobella M has a service speed of nine knots. A Beta 12kva genset is also fitted, to provide 240v electrical power.
Spencer Carter supplied Isobella M’s 1.5t pot hauler. Echomaster Marine installed and commissioned the wheelhouse electronics equipment.
Insured by Arnott Marine, Isobella M will land catches of brown crab, lobsters and whelks to Mark Blake of Coastal Shellfish Ltd.
Further details of Isobella M will be included in Fishing News soon.
