The Marine Conservation Society (MCS) is offering a free webinar to help businesses source sustainable seafood.

‘Conscious consumption’ is on the rise, with 43% of seafood consumers saying sustainability is a key consideration in their purchase in a 2021 YouGov survey, and the MCS webinar aims to show businesses how easy it is to source sustainable seafood.

The webinar, from 3pm to 3.45pm on 16 November, will share MCS insights and learnings from a year of research and user testing, covering consumer attitudes to seafood sustainability, barriers and trends.

Restaurateur and eco-chef Tom Hunt will convey the benefits to businesses of playing their part in sourcing sustainably, and demonstrate the power businesses have to drive sustainability through the supply chain. Fisheries biologist Dr Bryce Stewart will ‘demonstrate how well- managed fisheries can offer a limitless supply of seafood’.

The MCS will also share its new free tool Good Fish Guide for Business, showing participants how this can help them meet the demands of a changing market.

The session will close with an opportunity to ask questions.
